Our Story

Where the soil is rich and the work is honored

Uganda, long known as the Pearl of Africa, has some of the most fertile soil on the continent. Our vanilla is grown in the Bundibugyo District in the country's western highlands, where a warm equatorial climate and rich volcanic soils give every bean its distinctive character.

Vanilla is one of the most labour-intensive crops on earth — each orchid is hand-pollinated, then scalded, sweated and dried over weeks of careful, skilled preparation. We work directly with the farming families who tend these vines, through fair-trade partnerships and local Ugandan distribution partners on the ground.

The result is single-origin vanilla of consistent, dependable quality: 100% natural, GMO-free, non-irradiated, and fully traceable to its district of origin.
